Vietnam and Thailand have taken significant steps to enhance their collaboration in tourism and cultural exchange. The nations aim to implement the “Six Countries, One Destination” initiative, which seeks to boost regional tourism by promoting a unified travel experience across multiple ASEAN countries.
Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh met with his Thai counterpart, Paetongtarn Shinawatra, during the 44th and 45th ASEAN Summits held in Vientiane, Laos. Both leaders emphasized the importance of expanding bilateral cooperation in key areas, particularly the economy and tourism. This initiative is expected to strengthen regional ties, stimulate economic growth, and showcase the rich cultural heritage of ASEAN countries to global travelers.
The move underscores Vietnam and Thailand’s shared commitment to fostering sustainable tourism while contributing to the broader goals of regional integration and prosperity.
